Am fitting a JX auxiliary water pump to an AAZ conversion. I have sourced all the parts and am about to fit. One question remains: whereabouts on the engine block does the sender unit (temp sensor) fit? Grateful for a textual description or (better) a picture of one in situ.

Prompt responses appreciated. Many thanks.

Coolant flange, gearbox side of the head. There sholud be two holes for senders in that flange.

In the cetre of this pic: (engine is not in its place)

OK, thanks, um... I think I can see it. Is it the brass sensor beneath the heater flange on the forward end of the block, just below and to the right in the picture of the blue oil-pressure sender in the end of the head?

Cheers!

Further to my last, just noted your first line so I think we are looking at the same thing. I noted a hexagonal section on one side of that flange so assume it's a removable bolt that will allow the sensor to screw in.

Very useful, thanks.

Yup. It is the brass/copper nut thingy below the blue oil pressure sender.

Just to point out that the sender should be a thermoswitch [104 deg c early or 107 deg c late ]

Yep, bought a new one with the correct part number so it should do the job provided it's in the right hole. Thanks, all.
