Single carb CU and oil beather

As the thread title suggests my Aircooled CU has been modified by a PO to use a single webber carb, all runs well and no issues other than the fine film of oil sprayed from the oil breather.
Currently this is a pipe that sit near the air filter box, so what designs have other people used with this setup?

Hello,
On a standard solex setup the crankcase breather ends up being recycled through the air intake.
When you put pancake air filters on an Aircooled you use the ones with a spigot on the underside..
If you could feed into your Empi style filter..drill hole in underside.. screw fit plastic spigot..rubber tube 90 degree polyprop elbows.. reducer from crankcase breather.. should be worthwhile..
I see you are still on the Hall ignition system..
This may be of interest...

Some people fit a catch tank and filter not the best idea as there is a possibility of getting fumes into the heater system. An elbow fitted to the top of the filter is the best method, fitting below can cause the breather pipe to swan neck any low point in the pipe will cause the oil to collect at the low point and eventually block the breather.

Hey guys
What's the advantage of fitting a power spark distributor over the current Hall effect ?

None at all. It is a retrograde step only necessary if you have a worn out distributor and can't find an original one.

Or perhaps on a single carb setup..better a SVDA...... where are you going to connect the second vacuum on a DVDA..
also lots cheaper than amp, control module, hall sensor..
less old ignition stuff to go wrong..
and you can use the old coil...
