Not sure which pin the Rjes tachometer wire connects to on the standard vw t25 tachometer. I have done the resistor MOD but don't want to damage the tachometer by wiring it incorrectly.

Never mind

Rjes has told me it is attached to the green tachometer wire not the tachometer. As you can tell electronics are still a work in progress for me
