Guys, new thread here as I've a bit to add.

I have put a link to a video showing the issue. it's only about 40 secs long.

As I said in a previous thread I have the buzzer issue and had some lose hanging wires which I think are now wired correctly.??? problem is I topped my oil up which is now at the top of the level mark on the dip stick.. maybe slightly more?? anyway now I have the buzzer and the oil light stays on. I have renewed both oil pressure switches... wiring I think is correct but if you see the video I turn the key to the first click and the battery, Glow Plug, and the temp lights come on BUT no oil light! then glow plug goes out.. (normal) I start the engine... Great! then the temp light goes out (normal I think) then the battery light goes out (again normal) then the oil light comes on. then wen I get to about 10 mph the buzzer comes on and stays on the whole time driving. Getting pretty despo now! check the video and if you have any suggestions let me know... I'll try anything.

I was thinking it could be down to the extra oil as I'm unsure if the grades are the same. I pretty sure the wont be. I probably added about 1ltr.

Oil light doesn't come on with ignition, but does when running...................The switch for this function is supposed to be CLOSED with no oil pressure, then OPENS when oil pressure rises.

Buzzer comes on with engine running.............The switch for this function is supposed to be OPEN with no oil pressure, and CLOSES when oil pressure rises.

So these are similar looking switches with completely opposite internal functions.

The pressure ratings of these switches are generally stamped on the underside of the body nearest to the engine. The LOWER pressure is the switch for the normal oil light. The HIGHER pressure (ie 0.5 or 0.75 bar) is the one for the buzzer.

The symptoms you describe are consistent with having fitted the switches the wrong way round. Try swapping them over. Could be all sorts of other things, but this might work.

You were spot on... this morning I swapped the 2 switches over and ..hey presto! everything is working as it should.... I seriously can't thank you enough.!!

I did soak it all up with pie and chips though!
