hi all finally got me head off 1.6 jx and its warped so i have a 3 hole gasket if i get head skimmed what size gasket will i need to fit all info much appreciated

VW says that you mustn't skim the heads!
The thickness of the gasket is governed by the protrusion of the piston with an unskimmed head, 3 holes/grooves should be the thickest you can get for protrusion of 0.91 - 1.03mm.

hi cheers thats what i had read on here, but a few seem to have done this with no problems . maybe i will have it checked to see how much it is warped and report back

set in stone, no head skimming on dervs without combustion chambers!

Had mine done in the uk...it will bring the valves closer to the Pistons !!
