glow plugs 1y engine tread pattern ?

i bought 4 plugs and went to swap them,,, I've never done this before so being careful decided to do one out one in
i ordered from gsf for 1y engine so take out first but new is a little hard to get in (grabbing tread too early) so afraid of cross treading
i stop then i look at numbers on plug ... new plugs 1 x 0 100 226 173 (510) and 3 x
0 100 226 173 (345) so not all same but number on box's all match ,,,, but the one i took out says 0 100 226 173 (742)
so before i go back is the last three digits tread pattern?? also head was replaced so maybe came from other vag donor would
seat/skoda/Audi have different tread on plug ?? probably not but you never know
also why when you drop a glowplug or little nut it falls trough a gap where it fits in but does not fit back out the same gap
