oil filter help

ive just purchased a vw t3 Holdsworth vila with 2.0 cu engine i want to change oil filter and strainer can anyone recommend the best oil filter. At the moment it has Crosland part L10091PS have no idea why po has used this although runs fine with it

also would morris 15w 50 be the right oil for it

Welcome to the forum.
Get your service parts from Brickwerks and you won't go far wrong. It'll be a Mann filter you get from them.
As for oil, 15W40 mineral oil is what is recommended, but some say 20W50 is okay too.

thanks very much for your replys guys

been reading about people putting anti drain back oil filters on these engines is there any gain or disadvantages they claim it stops the clatter from hydraulic lifters on start up

You can, but as the filter is vertical it doesn't suffer from draining back and it wouldn't stop the lifters draining.
