I have a spade connector located on the side of my distributor!

At the moment my "Bus" isn't working, and prior to me removing my carb to give it a good clean I've had a look round for any loose connections and found this one. Unfortunately I can't download a photo and I also can't find the female part of the wire so haven't got a scooby what it could be for.

Don't know what it's for, but I do know my dg has been running with nothing connected to it for at least 10 years!
Would have responded sooner but I thought somebody much better informed than I am would have answered.
Perhaps it's a left over from an alternative use of that model dizzy?

Yep, it's an earth point. Mine isn't used on either my DF or DG engine.

no wire fitted on mine either but check your earths to engine head and under coil.
