Hey folks, am half way through my camper conversion and have hit an electrical wall. I have my leisure battery in place and the appliances and things I want to run off of it. I bought a pretty comprehensive looking split charge relay lot off ebay made by a company called lek tek. The wiring diagram is minimalist to say the least. Could someone please help me work put what goes where with regard to the fuse box and volt meter etc. This is a link to the kit I bought

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Looks like a rebadged Durite relay to me:
Look familiar?
Connections.
The two fuses should be fitted on the positive connection to each battery - as close to battery as practical. Similar to this setup with a standard relay:
The instructions are minimalist because its straightforward. If stuck search for durite diagram but it just sits between both batteries as above. Mind you, if you paid £150 for it, thats damned expensive

Thanks for the speedy response!
Yeah you're right it does look like a clone of that one but double the price :s
So where in the circuit would the voltmeter be connected and the multi blade fuse thing that my fridge and heater etc come from?
I can see a lot of diagrams online on wiring the thing up but not really any that show it in use or show clearly how it would look when installed.
Thanks again!

The negative earth on both starter and leisure battery both get connected to chassis - they share the same one and by doing that, it reduces the number of wires everywhere. Fusebox connects to leisure battery positive. The items that use that fusebox then only need their negative/earth wire grounded to chassis to get power. Voltmeter goes direct across leisure battery normally. Best thing to do is get the split charger bit connected first. Then you can add fusebox.
It only seems complicated if you're trying to do everything at once, so just get the charging bit working first (with the two inline fuses). Either crimp or ideally solder terminals. Maplins do a big pokey 100watt soldering iron for £15. Theoretically it can be done in a morning. The only tricky things to get right are connections which is why I advocate a soldering iron unless you have access to a heavy duty crimper. Decide where you want to mount the split charger and connect accordingly.

Awesome, Top man,! I've set aside the bank holiday weekend to get that done and a few other bits so hopefully all goes to plan. I have a soldering iron somewhere so I'll solder the connections. Cheers!

As long as soldering iron is big enough you should be fine. I use shrink tubing on my connections to make everything tidy afterwards. If you get stuck at any point, just post back and I'll talk you through it.
