His is this pipe okay with the link in it? Would it be better to get some kind of reinforced pipe that didn't collapse?

looks too long and so kinked to me, try shortening it first, maybe wrong hose maybe not.

Do you have a name for the tour of house I might need? Don't know what to search for.

Pipe has to be one that doesn't collapse. Now, contrary to opinion, its perfectly possible to use a short length of high quality reinforced washing machine hose for that job (mine has been on for eight years) but no good using anything that kinks easily or liable to kink when it gets warm. Brickwerks and other places (including VW commercial) stock the genuine stuff although only available in black rather than 'chilli red' or 'cool blue'

Just search for "House tours"
might be better if you say which house you want a tour of though :D

Ha, for those that can't decipher cypher, that was meant to read "type of hose"

Do you mean the type of blue hose that feeds the water on a washing machine?

Is this the stuff?

That's what you need.

Vacuum hose is constructed quite differently to normal oil or water hose. It is designed NOT to collapse under vacuum. May I suggest that the hose in the picture isn't proper vacuum hose.
You could re-enforce the hose by putting a spring down its core.
