This may take some time.

If you click on a photo, to the right there should be a box with four different options for links. Its the bottom one you need iirc.
If you are on a device look for a 'get links' button.

Try again. No luck . Get 6 options , click top one and its says copied come back to forum and paste and just link to library.

Caravelle seat base.

The pieces with surface rust are the added strength as factory spec.

Measured original vw full width.

Stripped down GL backrest.

This seat conversion is based on having a late style vw rock n roll mechanism to fix the converted seat to.This will bolt in to existing points on sides of van if you have factory window van type. If you are thinking of doing this seat conversion order part number 253885161A . Multivan width could also be used if the crossbar is cut and extra width tube inserted to widen to full width. Part number 255885161. Im sure there is only limited stock of these so if you are thinking of converting your seat put an order in with vw classic parts from vw heritage before they run out of stock, this type of mechanism is rarely found second hand on its own. I will put a photo of metal frame on mechanism in van .
