Hi, just replaced the steering rack bushes, powerflex very nice. :D
I noticed that the large allan key grub screw/drain plug, on the bottom has grease being forced out around it, can I undo it and put more in or is it dead?
If so what sort?

If its takes a big allen key and its in the centre of a round piece of the casting its not any kind of greasing aperture. Its where the tension spring that holds the rack against the pinion lives and has a precice adjustment so dont just whip it off. They are usualy staked into position to stop them moving. There should be no particular pressure in there to force a leak. If you ever do take it out at least count the number of turns very carefully as you unscrew it.

I'm convinced, I'm leaving that alone :!:
There is grease coming out of it but I'm going to ignore it see what happens

Both bits of the thrust pad adjuster have an octagonal recess too! I made tools to strip down a manual rack once.
