I've just got one of those cargo net type door pockets to fit on the passenger door so Lindsay can keep a road atlas and a couple of OS maps in it. I was thinking of using self-tappers....and then something else when they pull out of the cardboard. Anyone else fitted one and what did you use for the fastenings? Ta.

Road atlas ??? do people still use these things lol,Try to put the screws into the metalwork if the shape & size of the net allows.

Flat spire clips behind the door panel for your self tappers to grip.

A bit of both then. Top screws into metal and bottom ones with spire nuts. And those who use maps; lead. Those who use SatNavs just follow. Thanks for the advice.

...and those that use maps on their Kindle/ tablet device?

Only just got a Tablet ourselves. What maps do you use? We still like OS 'cause of the wild camping we can find such as old, disused quays and harbours.

I use on my phone an app called 'here maps' came as part of the Nokia installed collection. Its a satellite style where you can zoom right in, but dependent on internet iirc. On my kindle I have an apps called 'offline maps'. You download map tiles for the area of interest. These look more akin to OS style maps. My plan is to retire my kindle to the van for maps and books, maybe a few games and programmes for the little'un depending on space. Bit easier to store than maps and easier to read in the dark!
