I've got a pinhole in my headlight that lets in water, anyone got a suggestion for a long lasting weatherproof/heatproof repair ? The pinhole is on the outside, there's a scab on the inside

When my wife got her T4 in 2000 it came with a full depth chip and crack in the front nearside headlight. As a temporary measure I sealed the chip with a blob of glue gun hot glue. That held it until the crack got worse and I was forced to change the headlight unit. That was end of summer last year - 15 years and 140,000 miles later. Good temporary fix and only infrequently got an advisory at MOT time.
Good luck.
