Exciting day!

Popped down to the Volksworld show to have a look round for some bits for the van today. Some great looking vehicles in the show and in the camping and car park. Got some new blingy wheels to try and draw the eyes away from the rust ;)

On the way back pulled in to fill the van, all went well until a bloke came over to tell me it was coming out again underneath! After grabbing a rather angry chap from inside we pushed the van over to one side. Then after about 2 mins it had stopped leaking. Waited another five and then pulled off down the road, somewhat at the insistence of the guy who didn't want a leaking van on his forecourt (understandable). Pulled over again and no sign of a leak.

Rather naughtily I nursed it back home for he remaining twenty miles and again no sign of a leak, but a heavy smell of petrol on braking - brand new fire extinguisher on the passenger seat.

All very tense. Not sure what's up but will replace all the hoses I can find and see if that helps!

Cheers

Charlie

You posted this in general chat
If you want information on replacing the lines and parts of the tank then it needs to be posted in mechanical.
I guess a mod will move it.

Will you be doing the work yourself?
