Anyone else had problems getting responses to emails from Elite?
I'm only trying to buy an engine off them?
I'm aware they have lots of reviews on here both good and bad, but anything else to add please do : )

Just imagine how difficult it will be contact them once the engine blows up down the road? It's an even chance that you'll make it home! If I had the number, I'd struggle with my morals to furnish you with it.

They list their engines on Ebay =
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/reconditioned ... SwUuFW0GM3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(have they changed their ebay trading name there ?)
I note they have 100% good feedback
But at least they have stopped claiming that virtually every moving part in their engines is new
Let us know how you get on

Ah yes, missed that detail.
I wonder if that is why they changed their Ebay trading name (if they have that is, pretty sure it wasn't that before)
E D I T = just checked, that trading name has been registered since 2008 = confused.

When looking at Elites reputation on here take note of how little RECENT feedback is positive. They're doing you a favour by not answering the phone.

Do you have an Elite engine ? Or maybe a horror story you would like to share ? I only ask because I have 2 Elite engines and know others who do too and we don't.
Ian.

But many many many people do have terrible experiences, surely that's the point.

Yes, some do ... but many more people expand the story, usually there are tales of expanding costs where the engine is being fitted at Elite .... you start to fit an engine and see where the costs go, especially if you are charging for your time and retail price for the parts.
Several of us are running these with nothing to report .... I guess we just don't make as much noise ? I've no intention of labouring the point BUT out of accuracy it needs to be said.
Ian.

Well in all the sorry tales that I've read and heard of, the misery is caused by the total lack of reliability. An upset hear and there would be excusable but totting up the negatives surrounding them leads to one thing - a well deserved reputation.

Hiya, sorry ? Is that a posse ?
I can (and will) only speak of what I've experienced and others that I know directly ... this dates back to 'the Mick's' days and things may have deteriorated, that I cannot comment on.
