Hi All, I have a 1983 T25 lhd 1.9 petrol with twin webers. The carbs are knackered apparently any advice on how much it would be to fit a new pair or is it better to get a single carb conversion? Also the lpg has been disconnected. is it worth getting it re connected? It was originally installed by Gasure in deeside. The cylinder heads went and the mechanic who replaced them said it was because it was running lpg...any advice gratefully received. thanks, Nigel

The lpg can cause valve wear if the mixture is too weak but alot of us run on LPG all the time with no ill effects. The carbs are a matter of choice really, You will get a bit more power with twins but possibly better economy with the original single carb especially if it was a Pierburg 2E3/4. For lpg, twins are more difficult as you have to get them balanced and drawing the right amount of gas so as not to run lean but an expert such as gasure or campershack I'm sure could set it all up nicely. It is so much cheaper on LPG.
