Hi all , I'm looking for a way to charge AA rechargeable batteries using my solar set up . I have a 130w flexi panel charging 2 Bosch L5 90ah batteries, all devices charged via Blue seal usb charger , phones mp3 nano kindle . I have a Garmin hand held GPS that munchies its way thro AA batteries ; I don't like setting off for a hill walk with less than 75% battery charge on the Garmin... Any help, tips or ideas would be great... Cheers Ian

can't you just buy a 12v aa battery charger? works off your leisure battery which in turn is charged by your solar. Or am i mis understanding the question?

something like this

Yep thats what I do.
Mine came from Maplin 10 years ago, covers all the sizes AAA, AA, D & C, PP3 as you never know when you might need to charge something else.

Nipped into Maplin's , and got me a AA/AAA charger , wasn't a great deal of choice but what i got will more than suit my needs, going to hard wire the charger & mount it out of sight, I'm kinda fussy like to keep the camper looking stock with modern gizmos hidden out of sight.
Only a tiny bit of wiring on show from the solar install, I can live with that... It's great when you post somit & get sorted pretty much to expectations .Ian
