Anyone know anything about Agie die-sink spark eroders?

It's all 1970's -1980's technology, discreet components and DC stepper motors...

Our Agie-Puls sparker packed up a while ago, can't find anyone to look at it, our wiring diagrams are for a similar machine

It's not worth a lot in cash terms, but priceless when confronted with a broken tap or the need to put an awkward shape into a hard component.

I don't suppose that anyone has any expertise in the field? We think that the downfeed stepper motor has shorted and is blowing the fuses that control that whole circuit, including cooling fans (the only tell-tale we can identify)

:?

Best place to ask that would be the forum over at http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/

I've a very good friend that owns a wire/spark eroding company, I'll ask him if knows anything/anyone. Can you disconnect the motor and see if it still blows fuses?

Thanks. I will try that and report back. If the motor has gone then its going to be a whole load of retro-fit fun to replace...
