RJES reversed coolant manifold question

Hi everyone

Bit stuck on this one. There is a small outlet on the coolant manifold to the left of the coolant temp sensors. Does anyone know what this connects to? I also have a leak coming from the idle control valve as the hose is not connected. Again, where / what does this connect to?

Cheers :-)

Mark

Hi,

From the coolant manifold, this loops round under the coolant manifold to the underside of the throttle body....

Thanks Richard

What about the connection on the idle control valve? Does this also go to the throttle body?

Cheers

Hi,

Do you mean this bit ? Its on the right of the throttle body....I have no pipework, just the electrical connector. My EJ25 SOHC was MY99/00

My engine is from a 1998 impreza sport and the idle air control valve is on the side of the inlet manifold rather than on top of the throttle body. There is a coolant connection coming off it but not sure where it goes to (my disassembly photos didn't come out well)

Cheers

So is yours a DOHC ?

The idle air control valve has 2 coolant connections. One routes under the reversed manifold to a connect on the manifold just beside the ecu coolant sensor. The second coolant line from the iac routes to the throttle body and back to the return coolant hard line atop the engine which ultimately feeds into the engine behind the thermostat.
