Hi all, I have a 1984 T25. It is painted white with a slight creamy tint. I cannot find any paint code on a vin plate to obtain the original paint code. Does anyone know what the name/code would be. Many thanks

Remember that Pastel White comes in various shades of cream depending on the year of the van. Best to get it colour matched if you want an exact match I reckon.

Hi, when you say different shades depending on the year are you saying L90D is not always L90D or do all the shades have their own number?

The majority of car paints have different shades. It's much down to the mines used for the various pigments used in the paint ( I was told this by a paint rep.many years ago when I had my own bodyshop and asked the same question)
Usually, the parent shade is No.1, and the variants go no.2, and so on. We used to mix a 10th of a litre of each variant when there was more than one shade and sprayed them on special cards and then compared those to get a decent match. We then kept those in a large folder so we had our own colour library that was built up over the years and that saved us a lot of money in not mixing incorrect colours.
Paint factors should have a colour swatch - or perhaps a local bodyshop with their own colour library like ours - with the various shades on so as to get a match. Best clean off a section of the original paint on your an, like the inner A post for example, with some cleaning compound and get the colour compared to that.

Hi from my internet research I think I'm right in saying the L90D paint colour changed dranamaticly around 1979/80 ish. It went from a buttery creamy white to a much more green tinged white more similar to vw alpine white. Halfords sell vw "pastel white" in rattle cans and it is the older version. I had this catch me out having done a 50% body respray a few years ago after ordering the L90D paint mail order and have spent 4 years with a two tone van. Actually 3 tone as the sliding door was a later L90D but a slight variant from the main body. Kentish Camprs suggest the best approach and get a match.
