Sorry, but I can't help with your query. I'm just curious as to what, where, which regarding the van as I'm a resident of Salisbury.

me and a pal towed my t25 with an A frame not a nice experience as the A frame went quite far under the van so it meant the van was very close to back of the towcar but all went well.

I have been looking into these as an option for towing; sadly it appears it may not be legal.
The vehicle being towed will be classed as a trailer, and if over 750kg will need to have working brakes on all wheels, which operates at the same time as the towing vehicle.
It would probably be ok to use some sort of inertia (overrun) type braking system but it would require this to be coupled to all the wheels and probably would need the servo to be powered.
There is also some regulations on being able to reverse the vehicle.
In short the vans braking system would need modifying to do this.

Please post if you find a way of using the A-frame without modifying the vans legally, as I would like to be able to do this.
