Aaaarrrgghhh!!
Only had my van a couple of days and it has an immobiliser which I think has armed and I cant get it off.
Each time I get in I have to press the disarm button and it has started - Went to do the same tonight and nothing, but I have checked the battery is charged so I am sure that this is what it is.
I don't have any instructions as I guess it has been on there sometime so I am looking for some guidance on how to get around it.
I have tried a few combinations but keep setting off the alarm

Can't you get in touch with the old owner?

She lives quite a way away and says she knows how to do it but only when she is sitting in the cab with the fob! She was the same when I bought it, she had to sit there to show me

Old alarm systems and immobilizers can get twitchy. I have a Toad 606i (I think) and I was never sure if it actually worked or just remotely powered the locks!

I'm guessing this is quite old too looking at the fobs so its coming out as soon as it can

A hidden switch is a lot lot simpler and ridiculously cheap. Nothing worse than a box of electronics that thinks its smarter than you are.

Well I managed to get her started by leaving the key in the start position for a few seconds but it's gonna have to go

Did you get the PIN code for the alarm? I'm sure you can disable a Toad A606i alarm/immobiliser using the PIN code and changing the settings via the key fob. I have all the manuals if you need them.

Unfortunately not, didn't realise I might need one when I bought the van.

Time to tear it out then. Hopefully it was installed correctly and the installer didn't butcher your wiring.
