Bloody windscreen wipers on the wedgie packed in, motor still runs, I moved the wipers and they move freely which suggests it's linkage . Not a quick fix for me. Anyone know a good mechanic/garage that could help ?

Camper shack had a waiting list , couldn't fit me in till June . I found a great garage in Nottingham called Shelton and Edwards . Kev the mechanic stopped what he was doing to help me out . Great little VW garage , some real old school buses hanging about being worked on . Kev really knew his way round a type 25 .

Until June, that's nuts. I suppose that's the rub if your rep is that good.

In the meantime, what happens if you cant wait until June?? You get the Haynes manual, get asking loads of questions on here and do it yourself, or as in your case find a guy who can sort you out (lucky)

Did he sort it out for you??

Yeah he did sort it. I couldn't as had just bought the van and had no tools and was hundreds of miles from home . Rain peeing down as well so with no wipers I was truly stuck. Job was a dashboard off job . I had to get a train then a plane to get home and will be doing it again to pick the van back up. Here's hoping for a clear run .
