Theres a guy on samba who fitted a battery pack from a Tesla to his electric Vanagon iirc
Of course hydrogen fuel cell/electric is the future, battery electric is just a stepping stone.
Hyundai have recently launched the first truly mass-production H2 fuel cell hybrid, so its just a matter of time before the technology filters down.

Nice find! A few aspects of going electric that I hadnt considered. They really should have a speed sensitive pas system though...

They also make a hi power electrical master cylinder that does not require a vacuum
