the t3 I'm looking at has windows all around on both sides, and I plan on living in it. would the windows cause any issues with cold or would the insulation be enough to keep warm in the van? I'd love to hear from people with experience

We are insulating ours at the moment using a mixture of foil back foam against the metal and foam pipe lagging. We will cover the exposed metal work with stretch carpet from MegaVanMats.

Whatever you use behind the panels and in cavities, it must not hold moisture.

For the Windows we have tight fitting curtains and have made double thickness foil bubble wrap screens which go against the glass behind the curtains. The windscreen has an external Silver Screen (the proper one not a JK thin copy) and it's the dogs danglies

armaflex is very useful, but if you living in it I'd make sure i'd got a good heater and as winchweight says good fitting curtains and behind them removable insulated pads.

If I were living in a window van i'd be tempted to make a partition, such as a thick curtain if no bulkhead, and perhaps block out the rear side windows and permanently insulate them instead. You'd will still get more light than you'll ever need :D

there will be many ways, have a look at the larger autosleepers they use a plastic louvre grille on the outside that looks pretty tidy. Try Samba the American site too, as they block out windows more than over here I think, should be plenty of ideas on the Samba site. I just made my window recess into a giant pocket which is much more useful than a window to me, and far warmer!

Best of luck with it, try to post a picture of the inside of your van.

Plastic double glazed Windows make a big difference over glass.
