hello there helpful peeps -

i was wondering - the ignition amplifier/ control unit - next to the big black box in the engine bay -
when you put a new one on - is it important to grease the back of it before you screw it in? Is it a special grease you need - or good you just use copper grease?

got a new unit to put on - on thursday - just wondering if i needed to get anything on the back of it before fitting?

thanks in advance -

edoh

WHS^

Check your packaging it arrived in. Sometimes there is a little sachet of the stuff included, it looks kinda white like toothpaste.

Depends on which type of ign amp it is.
If is like this where the amp screws onto the alloy heat sink then you need the heat sink compound between the amp and the alloy heat sink.

If it is the all in one amp then is doesn't need any compound between the amp and bodywork.

Thanks so much Big Herb -
It is the 'all in one' version -
Will give it a good old clean up underneath - before fitting on the new one -
thanks again for the reply :ok
