Cluch pedal

Good morning all.got a quick question .my van hadn't moved for about a month as was carrying out work in it.I took it out yesterday for a good run but I found the cluch to be sticking.not rising properly to full hight.I kept having to pull it fully up with my foot.I thought was possibly just because it hasn't moved and was stiff but still the same even after wd40.anyone know how to fix this or even heard of this.is it a common fault ?thank-you for your input.
