Hi guys n gals just a quick question went out last night to drain my oil and found the sump plug is just a nut. Now is it reversed thread or just that it's seezed?so anti clock wide loosens yea?sais in manual that you just loosen it three turns for nut to open enough to drain.just don't want to be forcing it if I'm going the wrong way. Lol.

I'm assuming you have an oil burner

Just undo it the same way as you would any other right hand thread nut.Anti clockwise.

Its a flanged bolt, conventional right-hand thread so yes, anti-clock to loosen.
Warm the engine up first, it helps to loosen the bolt and the oil runs easier.
You will have to take the bolt right out, lift the dipstick once the bolt is out and the flow will increase rapidly

Never heard of that before, one normally removes the sump plug completely. It usually falls into the old oil container you are using and then, after draining the oil, you have to fish it out of the horrid old oil !! What manual is it that says only undo it 3 turns??

Checked ETKA. The early diesels had a larger M16 sump plug with 068... part number, the later ones had a generic M14 with an N... part number and that was changed/revised too if I read it correctly.
