Hi guys

Looking for some advice. What do you do for privacy up front in the cab?

I only have a panel van so don't need to worry about curtains all round.
Last year I used to shut a bit of rope at the top of both doors and drape a picnic blanket over it (lol)

I'm after so thing a bit "better" this year.
I'm not too sure on the blinds that wrap round the outside of doors and windscreen so looking for solutions for inside.
Doesn't have to be OEM..... DIY solutions fine too

Thermo mats, maybe look for second hand sets or buy material and suckers and make them.
You can also buy large windscreen sun mats.

Could put up a curtain track in front cab only, and have curtains?

My van came with a curtain rail round inside the front of my cab. But I had to put a couple of little screw in curtain hooks on the door pillars to hold the curtains against the windscreen so they hung back (forward) to cover the dash. I just made holes for small plastic rawlplugs and screwed them into them. To be quite honest if it weren't for her ladyship and her neatly folding in pleats and curtain ties I might have been happy with just the hooks and that plastic covered springy stuff. You would just need somewhere to store them when not in use whereas curtains hang behind the seats neatly folded in pleats and curtain ties.

I have curtain track in just the cab and back window of my panel van, then went to Ikea and got some fabric and curtain tape. My wife made the curtains and I made some internal stick on thermal screens out of foil bubble blanket to keep the sun out. My intention is to use the same fabric to line the upper interior panels so when the curtains are drawn it all matches.

My van was like that when I got it but it made it so claustrophobic.

A mates Wolfsburg camper has curtains and press studs.

We have external screens but often if we camp on side of road I dont really want to use them outside so assemble them backwards and stuff them in the corners, works ok

If you get the chance, have a look at a westie factory front curtain set up. Mine has six buttons that pop onto the body at the front and sides covering the cab and front door windows and takes seconds to put and take down. Simple and cheap to make up and fix. The curtain is just a huge oblong in shape and easily made up with a sewing machine and attach the other part of the buttons. I bought a button kit to fix to the new curtain. Simple.

Agree re putting the "curtain" up front on the screen, gives much more room, though then of course you need to make ones for the side windows too.

Suggestion, buy some pairs of those very strong small flat magnets (Ebay etc) glue some onto the van in appropriate places and embed matching ones in window shaped bits of fabric?

I think you misread. One for the screen one each side for front doors.
