Hi Guys

I have asked this question before but I am still on the look out for a good reliable garage or mechanic near to me - I live between Catford and Bromley. Thanks

Sandra

Could try giving these chaps a buzz to see if they can service your bus (based in Catford):

http://www.thevwenginecompany.com/our-services.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

These guys are based in Welling:

http://www.veedubperformance.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not used either but worth giving them a call to see if they meet with your requirements.

If you can make it another 20 mins up to Hackney then J C Motors is the best! But, if you want to stay in the deep dark south then try Riverside Autos in Plumstead.

After all my worry my van passed its MOT with flying colours but it is really handy to have these details for any future work I need

Thanks

Just for anyone else looking in the area I can recommend FRL Goldsmiths Motors in New Cross (opposite Goldsmiths college.) Fred, who owns the place, has done a lot of work on my F-Reg Type 25 diesel and has got the engine running really well. They also do MOTs. For anything electrical (mechanical) speak to Del at AW Electrics in Catford (Scrooby Street) - again he is really experienced and I can recommend based on work. Autoelek in Eltham are good for other electric issues but more pricey. Steve who runs it used to have a type 25 too. Gearbox related issues speak to Helical in Brockley. They are also an excellent garage and again totally honest, but they don't have space to work on high tops.

Am on the lookout for a good welder / bodywork specialist in the area to change the left hand sill (sliding door) - so if anyone knows anyone please let me know.

Dave

Thanks Dave - this is really helpful. My fridge has stopped working and I can't open the sliding door from the inside, so a good time to try one of these guys out...

Thanks
