You need to make a connetion from the coil negative (green) to the dash green.

In the later vans this is in the loom and goes via the fusebox.

A bit strange you gave the green at the dash, perhaos a change over van with mixed new and old looms, is it an 85?

the rev counter will not alter the oil light
and unless your engine has the second oil pressure sender under the waterpump pulley the BoD wont work correctly
if you dont have the rev signal in the loom now, your van did not have BoD so if its the original engine, youwont have that sender

hi thanks for the replies ,it seems the green rpm signal wire at the dash does not go all the way to the coil, will graft new signal wire to green wire at dash ,

does everything else work at the dash?
if you have early wiring, the 14pin plug at the dash will be wired diferently to the rev counter dash .....
