Strange one, when I got the van back from having a 1.9d 1y golf engine fitted, the temp needle never moved. I tried shorting the wires and the needle moved right up so I figured it was the sensor. I ordered the sensor but now all I get is just in the white box. I've looked back and found I ordered against the original 1.7d engine, it's showing as incompatible for the golf donor.
Update. Got a sensor suitable for the original golf, to clarify I'm changing the one on the end of the head, it's 2pin as is the original wiring. Now I get the needle going right to the top! Help!
