Does anyone know of the rough cost of having the underneath of a van wax oiled?

If you're not doing it yourself, you need to get quotes from local garages. It's nasty stuff. My garage had to sent the mechanics home before they started spraying. Allow two hours for the work plus the cost of the wax oil. Possibly £150?
The same applies to re-sprays. A proper re-spray involves taking windows out, removing light fittings, doors off etc. That is the biggest part of the job. So quotes needed from reputable body shops.

You can get the waxoyl with handpressure sprayer for £30 ish delivered, if you can diy, going to ours myself. Places around here will do it for a lot less than £150. Cheers.

Thanks paperhouselad - id be willing to give it a go myself, but no off road access at all and I live on a main road.
Im still relieved its cheaper than what I expected (if i take to a garage) - whats your experience of it? I had a Bedford CF that had been waxoyled and it looked great, but wasn't sure whether it was just aesthetic or if it really was doing a good job?

Going to ours, will wire brush / hard hand brush off all loose dust dried dirt etc while dry underneath, because not using it yet and dry underneath. Then when it's dry not raining will take it to a friends field to spray it, after driving it onto a large plastic sheet ie dpc damp proof course. Then obviously drive off sheet fold up then dispose off. Get the waxoyl and gun off ebay. Cheefs john.

Pre heat to thin the waxoyl in a bucket of hot water first then the sprayer works better.
