Can anyone recommend where to buy a good set from? I for MOT reasons bought a cheep set from Just Kampers (would have had a fail for sharp edge otherwise) the lad who fitted them cut his hand the tin was so thin, less than a month later the new bumper, s are showing signs of rust, I contacted JK to be told they only come in shipment paint and need finished, why?, but this is still no excuse for the razorblade thin tin thaty thay are made of.
German engineering is world famous ( PRC isn't) where can I buy some I can now say " OK job done "?
Please help and Thanks in advance.

And the originals can usually be repaired properly to make them look decent again because they were made of good thick steel. Beats me how J Krap get way with selling such rubbish........

Same goes for body panels and any other parts that come with black paint on like brake backing plates. The black paint is rubbish, needs to be removed completely, preferably grit blast it off, then primed and painted properly. Should last a long time then.

I restored my own originals I put it under hand press and got rid of dents ,then cleaned them up with anglegrinder.Had them sandblasted and powdercoated with an outdoor powdercoat and still shiny 2 years later and all for 30 quid.

The originals were long gone before I bought the van but a word to the wise ( who still have them) keep them and do a repair instead of a cheap cheap replacement.

Now you tell me lol. Four new (cheap wheel arches later) my biggest problem is the garage that did the work cut the original metal to fit the poop tin instead of the other way round,....,.... C,est la vei what's done is done.

My sympathies are with you , I also made the mistake of buying JK bumpers which rusted within weeks, it's only transit paint they said !
They don't mention that when you hand over you're hard earned wonga, nor is it mentioned anywhere on the JK web site or brochure .
Here ends my rant

I got my set of chromes/rubbers/clips etc from The German Camper Co. Back then they were the only place I could find new ones and they give us Club discount
http://www.germancampercompany.com/t25- ... per-parts/
3 years later so far so good. I can't remember how much they were nor have I measured the thickness however I think they were much more expensive than they are now ... like £300+ ? They haven't rotted away (yet), not that they're going to be polished up in any show anytime soon lol

There may be a set of chrome bumpers for sale via the Campershack in Grantham if that helps - spotted on Facebook page - I think they're breaking a van

Thanks for that reply as I had th same off them, As the bumpers were sent direct to the MOT center i use I couldnt complain much more than I did as the package / Bumpers might have had a sticker on saying this, The lad who fitted them slit his hand open on the poor finnish / razor thin tin so buyers beware..................& look elswhere.
