Fitting new turbo is it imperative to use Torx type bolts as per original

Speak to Brickwerks - they should be able to confirm, but my understanding is that they're a special alloy that can deal with the extreme temperature fluctuations, so I think you need to use exactly the same type of bolt.

That's right. They are painfully expensive, about £20 each, and if you have them re-use them.
That said, I have used others in the past when the originals rounded off or were otherwise not available, and it does seem to hold up with normal mild steel bolts.
