Hi all , please help????

Went on a trip from Coventry to North Devon, Lynmouth over Christmas in our 1986 1.9 Petrol T25. All good for the 170miles there, all good tootling around, all good for 160 miles back until 10 miles from home, Gutted, water pump failed.
I didn't cook the engine, notice straight away as the heater stopped working. I have just fitted a Meyle water pump and since fitting it and bleeding the coolant I am getting complete loss of power uphill????? Runs perfect on the flat????? God these engines are odd!

CAN ANYONE OFFER ANY ADVICE PLEASE, THANK YOU

Maybe something inadvertently disconnected? Vacuum pipe on the carb for instance.

Water pump is very close to distributor, I wonder if you disturbed it or a vacuum pipe?
What location are you?

Hi

Thank you for replying. The great news is that I took the van for another run yesterday and it's SORTED ITSELF!!! :)

There must have been slight water ingress somewhere which has now dissipated.

One happy T25 owner again.

If you got water in the fuel, that'll return.
Check your tank breather hose and filler neck for perished parts
