Hay all.
First of all happy new year, hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year's Eve.
I've got a question about my heater as fitted to my 82 westy.
The heater works well but if I fire it up then set the thermostat say at 4 the heater runs as it should but won't kick back in once the temp has dropped below the value set on the stat.
I'm just wondering if I've missed something or I'm not doing something right.
Also when the heater is on heat I presumed the red led would come on when heating and it isn't lit in fact I can't ever remember ever seeing it on.
Thanks guys!

The B3L has only 2 heat settings - full and 1/2 heat, if it isn't dropping to 1/2 you most probably have the thermostat incorrectly wired (or maybe the wrong type of thermostat). Check your wiring against the wiring diagrams in the manual.

Thanks for the quick reply!
When I looked at it last to service it etc. the stat didn't look like it had ever been opened. Factory fitted with the winter pack but didn't know about the only two heat settings. So it's no good for leaving on at night then just to top up the heat.

I was wrong - it is only the D3L that had a 1/2 heat - the B3L is just the single 3Kw output. So you either cook or freeze!

Cooking it is then.
The only thing that should be cold in a bus is the beer!!!
Thanks for the info.
