Is this the factory radio connector?

Had my dash out - got a plug left over
Everything seems to work as expected, and I can't see anywhere for this plug to go. I think it might be the factory radio connector. Can anyone confirm? My radio has its own power feed from the leisure battery, and it uses DIN connectors, so I'm guessing (hoping) this plug was just tucked away behind the dash, unused since the factory radio was removed.
If it's not the radio plug, any idea where it should go?

I'd say you're right. See where the blue and white ones go if you want to be sure as they'll be the speakers.

My guess is cig lighter U1 on page 12.31 of haynes
that connector onlg has 3 of 4 pins populated so can't be speakers
gr/bl is dimmed illumination, red power and brown ground.
another contender it T4 ( 4 pin connector behind dash panel) on same page for radio power.
it has two red, two brown and two gr/bl, does your connector have 2 red?

Thanks both. Red is permanent live, and the blue/grey terminal goes live with the lights. T4 looks likely then, making it the radio. That's a relief. I guess there was a separate plug for the speakers.
In fact Bentley only shows a single red for the '83/'84 diagram (mine is '83), and two reds for the 1985.

Unless it was something posh, it would have more likely been the one speaker in the top of the dash, so wouldn't have needed much wire.

Ah yes, very true. I did find an old speaker under the central grille. It didn't look factory, but I guess that's where the factory speaker went.

Either way, you won't be needing it.

I've just thought of a use for it. I've been looking at a way to hardwire the dashboard bulbs, since the foil around the bulb sockets is pretty chewed. This radio socket is on a nice long harness and will reach the binnacle easily, and the grey+blue wire will be a good source of dimmed power. Should save me trying to solder to the copper tracks on the foil.
