alloy wheel confusion

Have been reading the posts on here regarding alloy wheels for t25 and really is a minefield

was about to buy some wheels offered by vw heritage SSP BRM 15" which they state will fit but off set is too small according to many posters

then i looked at JK FOOSH 15" and still they are slated on here too

i am aware that spacers will be required for many wheels but is there anything out there that fit without spacers that are retro looking? or with spacer but wont effect wheel bearings too much ?

thanks

hi markd

depends on what you consider "retro looking". When I bought my caravelle it was equipped with Azev A alloys (7,5J16 ET/offset 25) plug and play (OK if the bolts/studs are long enough), no spacers needed, load rating ok,...

In the 80s/90s people really liked them so I guess they are retro somehow. But maybe you should clarify what you are looking for and illustrate with an image.

i was looking at BRM SSP and FOOSH 911

It seems that none of the suppliers like just kampers midland wheels and vw heritage all offer wheels for t25 but have all been slated on here and dont fit correctly?

7 x 15" have a smaller ET to ensure that the top wishbone / balljoint doesnt foul the tyre.
All the period T3 wheels this size had ET of around 21mm.
With 16" the situation is different.

JustKampers are advertising these wheels to fit t25 with the addition of longer bolts and spacer required, but many posters on here are saying they will not fit correctly ?

here are the details

Empi 5 Spoke 911 Alloy Wheels in Matt Black with Matt Silver. This classic wheel is now available to fit all T2s from 1971 on up with a 5 x 112 stud pattern This wheel comes with silver cap with logo and chrome valve stem. This kit is sold with front studs and sleeved nuts required to fit to a T25 J18785. Spacers will be required for clearance on the centre cap if you are fitting these to VW T25s from 1979 to 1992

Has any members fitted these wheels ?

What do you mean tfortun? The factory carat planking has holes to insert the jack. It all works fine
