Hi Guys, hope you are all keeping busy

Couple of things
1) May crankcase breather hose has gone all saggy and collapsed and Just Kampers / Brickwerks want an arm and a leg for a new one. So does anyone have a good second hand one or do you think I can use either of the following:

2) I am missing one of my rear brake shoe retaining springs - Again does anyone know where I can pick one up?

Many thanks!

Pete

Re breather hose.

I (and some others on here) have used some corrugated black plastic hose that is sold in the likes of B&Q etc in the plumbing section. One needs just a couple of very short lengths off the old pipe (the ends are usually ok) just to act as a sleeve. The corrugations are reinforced with wire, so it won't ever collapse the way the old ones do.

It is VERY cheap.

I have plenty left over here from when i did mine, but you will likely find it cheaper to nip out and buy it than it would be for me to send you some (but I will if you wish).

I used some translucent reinforced hose that I had lying around in my shed.
It worked fine for a year or two, solving the high crankcase pressure problem.
I did eventually buy the Brickwerks one cos it looked better and I had money burning a hole in my pocket.

Fitting proper parts is good - if they are actually as good as they should be. Sadly most are not now. Besides, it lacks imagination. My washing machine hose for servo vaccuum has been on for 7 years now.... and as mentioned before, available in two fantastic colours - chilli red and cool blue.
