Sump plug washer

Hi,
Am working up to the winter oil change and I just reused the old washer last time. Is it an M14 washer that's required? Be grateful if anyone has a link where I could buy a few online. Brickwerks have a minimum order of a fiver so I'd have to get about fifty of then!
Thanks,
Duncan

Plus every local car spares shop should stock them (by size).

You don't need a new one every time - only if badly scored, just anneal it and re-use.

whs^^
can be reused
whats more important than the odd drip once a month is using a torque wrench to refit
too loose and it can rattle out ( ask me how I know)
too tight and knackered threads (ask me how I know)

Thanks, didn't know about annealing washers - good tip. Yep, will be using the torque wrench for sure.

Sealing washers are disposable single-use parts.
Its a false economy to anneal and re-use, they spread and get stuck in the crankcase recess without any encouragement anyway.

^^ I have to agree with that too, replace when they are that cheap, but if I am disorganised and haven't got one, reuse.

What, without annealing first?
I have found that new ones are hard a lot of the time - they are not as soft as they should be. Most probably because they are work hardened a bit by stamping them out.
