Hi there
I have a couple of questions regarding a EJ25 SOHC conversion in to my 85’ T25 1.9DG Petrol regarding fuel lines etc.

I believe that the fuel system needs to be a return type loop from the tank. Therefore along the lines of:

T25 Tank > Fuel Filter > Upgraded Fuel Pump > Engine > Back to Tank.

First question is will I need any fabrication to the current T25 tank (really bad idea imo) or will have the return inlet already be there? Will I need to purchase a modded tank with the return already done?

Secondly what about the fuel vapour/breather? I notice on the Subaru engine it has 3 fuel pipes, I am assuming 1 x inlet 1 x return and 1 x breather/vapour.
Currently on my van there are 2 x vapour tanks under each wheel arch. Do I use those and just run pipework direct from the engine to these via a Y splitter?

Easier to fit a new tank from an injection model, this is the one I used, it has a larger outlet & the return inlet pipe:

Not sure about the 3rd breather pipe, I just blanked it off as per the RJES instructions, I guess if your van has vapour tanks you can vent the outlet to them, the main problem I believe is not allowing the breather to allow air into the system when it opens.

One more questions, on this new tank does it come with the correct fittings or do you need to purchase the correct ones to attach the fuel lines.

It doesn't come with any fittings, you have to fit the sender from your existing tank.

I used all new fuel lines of the correct spec for fuel injection systems, last thing you want is an old hose to burst & spray high pressure petrol everywhere.

I am just finishing up the rebuild of the EJ25 so will be starting the install soon.
Everybody says that the Rjes instructions/components are very good so am hoping it should be fairly straight forward.

Yep I have it fitted to my 1981 originally air cooled T25
