The above socket is not the correct socket for the side of your van because it is a female socket. The inlet socket must be male ie: with 3 prongs on it.
Why risk damaging your beloved T25 by cutting a hole in the side when you could have a trailing (male) socket just behind the rear number plate in the engine compartment? The flex would go up through a small hole (fitted with grommet) to the RCD box inside the van.

Hi wb
Check out E-bay for one of these. What kit are you planning powering it makes a dif to the cable you need to get. House of Sher sells the Cable and Connectors, I can't remember how much but it was less than £15.

I really hope that's a joke. You do realise how lethal that could be?
The one day you plug in to the hookup before the van, and then your fingers slip will possibly be your last!

I agree 100% with Dan (no offence there Jed old chap

). The 'correct' caravan socket inlets are only £15-20 and where-ever you decide to put them are the right thing for the job. I put ours on the side of the van, others put it behind the number plate .... personally I find that awkward if you've got a bike rack on, and potentially easier to drive off with it still hooked up,in a moment of Wintheaxlenutawarditis
Cheers,Ian.
