Log Book Model Description Queery - Caravelle GL

I have an unmollested 1.9 litre DG petrol engined RHD Caravelle GL, with 98,000 miles on the clock and a fully documented VW service history. I've owned the bus for 5 years now and there's nothing to suggest that the vehicle was originally a diesel and has been converted to petrol. Something that has been niggling at me is the way in which the model is described on the log book (on the line D3). Can anyone give a suggestion what Caravelle 7GL TD 5 might mean? Obviously Caravelle GL is the badge on the tailgate and it does have a 5 speed gearbox, but the 7 and the TD don't make sense to me! Perhaps 7 seats, and a mistake was made thinking it was a turbo diesel? I wondered if the model descriptions on other members log books might shed some light on this.

I have a 1990 7 seat Caravelle GL. 2 owners before me. D3 is blank.

My understanding is that TD means Turbocharged Diesel

The TD element of the description is likely to be a mistake made by the DVLA on issuing the logbook then - there is no evidence of a glow plug light on the dash of my bus, and the original service schedule handbook I have with the van shows it was built with a DG engine.
