For as long as I can remember, my Caravelle creaks - sounds like the suspension? It gets worse over bumps but its pretty much constant - sometimes its less when the vans been driving for a while, or its warmed up a bit,
What is it and can it be somehow oiled?!!

Sounds like the wishbone bushes might need replacing.

The bushes are not that expensive its the labour charge that will cost you.The camber will also need to be reset.

OK, thanks, I just looked them up on JK and it says around 30 quid for 2 (for one side)- i have no idea how long theyd take to refit, so yes, labour ontop would be the thing. Eeeek.

Stick with Brickwerks. I think they supply OEM Lemforder. In the meantime try silicone spray on them

lived with my sparrows nest for several years, tried silicone spray and it doesn't last.
I have heard that new bushes can squeak.

I get an annoying creaking from the passenger side but I've learned to zone it out. Secret of a good relationship I'm told. Just say yes every so often

Brickwerks supply all you need to replace the bush
I was charged £55 to fit one bush and I supplied the bush.
Use JK for camping stuff by all means, but when it comes to parts use a quality supplier

I "lived" with mine for a couple of years, but finally caved in (a while back now) and paid a garage to fit them. I was very glad I did because when the noise is gone you just feel better driving the van. Like, it's not a creaky old thing any more.

I can't hear the squeak now. The noise of my creaky knees drowns it out. :D

It'll take more than a new bush to convince me I'm no longer driving a squeaky old van. If only it was that easy!

I've just had mine replaced as both sides failed on the mot, it was pretty sweaky in the cab before they where done. The handling is much better now 8)
