I bought a set of door cards- so far, I've fitted a few with the original door card plastic fixtures but the sliding door ones tends to pop off every now and then.
Which other fittings can I use?
Thanks Emma

I used fir/pine tree clips, I can't remember the size but I've had no problems.
You can find the on eBay.

I used long clips for a VW T4. They push through the panel into the hole and the centre is tapped into place to secure it.

You can only use them if the pannel is not covered cant you.

Depends on the panels. Our lower panels are carpeted in charcoal grey for dirt hiding purposes, so as they come in grey or black it's not an issue to have them visible. But you can cover the fixtures by cutting a slit in your covering material with a scalpel, fitting them and then re-glueing the fabric back over. T4 guys have been achieving great results for years and the fixings reduce less fragile than the old T3 ones.

They are what I fitted.
There are a few at the rear that need to be shorter as there is a pannel behind. The clip can be shortened by cutting down whith a pair of side cutters. The ones needing this can be done when fitting the cards.
I think they come in different colours if needed.
Have fun
:ok

Just in case the plastic membrane's that are affixed to the doors are in anyway split or damaged, repair them before you fit your new cards otherwise damp and or water ingress will soon warp and ruin them. :ok

Do the fixings not go thorough the membrane anyway?

If you were using the original cards and the vw fixing clips then they go straight into pre-drilled holes and the factory membrane would have holes pre-punched to suit. If I understand the op question, they are using non o.e fixings so would need to make sure that water can't enter anywhere else. :ok
