Before with old headlights

After with new smoked headlights

Changed the headlights for these smoked ones, looks better but don't know what they will be like at night
Need to do Covkids headlight mod anyway,

All the lucas ones can be made to fit. These were about £40 - for a pair.

Yes mine are off a mk1 golf cab, but as CovKid says, most can be made to fit

Thx for replying! Just got the bus and loads of jobs to do...
I managed to get smoked MK1 golf ones to fit in the end from vw heritage - about £50 (they do angel eye ones too - pretty bling). I had to modify my van brackets slightly by filing out the hole where the plastic post was to then fit ta 3rd adjusting screw off the golf brackets. I then used the spring from the golf brackets to help keep it all tensioned ok, had to drill a small hole for the spring to hook into.
I also put the black plastic surrounds on from the old lights which neatens it all up.

What I did after painting the grille and spoiler was to araldite it to the grille in 5 places and clamp it overnight. The spoiler isnt curved enough so when you fix it in place it puts a bit of tension on the whole thing but its fine. To fix it I used some wide headed allen screws you can see them in the corners just under the spoiler. I had to drill through the grille and then drill holes in the metal brackets behind the headlights.
Seems to work ok and Ive removed it a few times - not sure if there is a better way - I would prefer to not have the screws showing ideally.. I took out the 5 orig pins that hold it in as there is no way to reach them with the spoiler in place...
