Hi, can't understand what's wrong with my radio. When sat under my lean to it picks up the stations very well, and when in a built up area it's ok , but as soon as I am out on the open road it loses the signal but not completely.
If I am going along a motorway it's as if I have turned the sound down, but as I go under any bridges the sound goes louder then drops off again as I pass the bridge.
I have tried different radios and they are all the same.
Is it the arial ?

If different radios all give the same problem & assuming you are supplying them with 12v, then that really only leaves the ariel.
