Tick over and stalling

My van has been running really well all summer, faultless, but very recently it won't tick over when warmed up. Starts fine and runs well up to temp but it's now stalling if I take my foot off the throttle. It feels like mixture or certainly fuel based, I've checked the vacuum hose at the front, fuel lines and fuel filters are new as is the fuel pump. Plugs are recent and clean as are ht leads. I have a standard pierburg carb, any ideas on what I should check next?

Strangely enough ant I've just started to get the same symptoms. Van is running great, but about 10 mins after running, if I take my foot off the gas, the revs will drop and van will stall. It only does it a couple of times and is then ok & ticks over perfect again.
I too have checked for air leaks & all seems well but am wondering if the vacuum advance is on its way out - I've already cleaned up the distributor & base plate so all should be well here.

Personally, I'd check the timing and mixture - the core aspects. From there you can tinker with the idle and choke to suit.

Timing is deffo the next thing on the list BM - funnily enough, mine started last weekend after a drive around the new forest - I must have gone over at least 10 of those cattle grids and I'm wondering if all that juddering has disturbed something as it only started doing it directly afterwards on the way home.

Had same on mine a while back - ran fine on choke but stalled when not on throttle and up to temp.
Ended up being vacuum leak from the vacuum hose that runs to the temperature switch on the air filter box (the one that operates the flap to warm the incoming air by passing it over the exhaust)
So worth checking that (as it was the last thing I thought to check)

Just been looking at mine, the vacuum hose has been replaced and it does sit completely on the car link. On closer inspection it looks too big, does anyone have the right specs for this hose? As I want to change it.

That should have read "carb link"
I'll try and explain.
Where the vacuum pipe goes into the black plastic casing on the carb, the pipe is too thick and doesn't go right to the end. I can see this as the slot facing outwards has a clear 4mm gap where the pipe can't be pushed fully home. I'll take a pic tomorrow but it doesn't look at all right.

Still working on my van, checking all the wiring I've found the below fixed to the os engine bay side
It looks recent and a replacement, take it thats the idle stablisation unit? It has a code 'XE104' on it and it seems sealed, any ideas on how I can test it?

Have you got a pic of the vacuum hose ant? I changed mine over as I have a spare - it's stalled just once, after about 10 mins of driving and then she's ok again with no probs. Not sure how you can test that unit but I'm pretty sure I have a used spare if you want to swap it over? Let me know & I'll pop it in the post to you.

Just to say that this is all sorted now, many thanks to 300CE for the spare vacuum hose, my van is now running well again
